About Us

Heatwave Services was established in 2012 by our founder, Scott Wilson, in his home town of Largs, Scotland. Prior to 2012, Scott worked as a mechanical engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry for nearly 20 years. As a qualified gas engineer, he is registered by Gas Safe (Licence 548321) to work on Domestic Natural Gas, LPG, Leisure Accommodation Vehicles, and Boats.

Scott believes that you should be in control of any work carried out in your own home or boat. That is why he will always listen carefully to you before carrying out a proper assessment, and then providing you with his recommendations. Your satisfaction remains his priority - all workmanship is guaranteed.

Marine Services

Heatwave specialises in marine gas services. As a sailor himself, Scott understands the marine environment and can advise you of the current regulations and standards required for gas installations on sea-going vessels. He is also a qualified commercial skipper, RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and Examiner.

• Gas Safety Inspection - 70 including certification
• Changing gas hoses and re-testing (hoses have an expiry date)
• Convert from Campingaz to Calor (Calor is currently much cheaper in the UK)
• Changing to a marine regulator (I am supplied by Hayward Marine)
• Installing a new cooker or heater (I can fit any marine compliant cooker)
• Full system replacement or installation

Domestic Services

Heatwave provides domestic gas services as well as marine. The central heating boiler is one of the most important appliances in the modern home, but is commonly the most ignored. Regular servicing is critical to safe and efficient operation of your boiler. Heatwave also does full heating system installations, and can advise you on getting the most out of your boiler and saving money.
