Lack of Customer Service and Faulty Work
The reviews shed light on the inconsistency of the plumbing services provided by ALW Plumbing and Heating. Poor Customer Service was the main complaint of two customers. Robert Hannan, who gave a 2-star rating, expressed disappointment with the way the company treated a loyal customer, his 85-year-old mother. The boiler installation and annual servicing were done correctly by Andy from ALW Plumbing and Heating, but when the boiler developed a fault, Andy dismissed the issue and advised the customer to top up the water, despite knowing that the boiler needed a more extensive repair.
Variation in Quality of Work
The fault was later verified by two independent plumbers, one of whom repaired the boiler. This experience left the customer without central heating or hot water for two weeks during the winter months. Mike Gale, on the other hand, had a positive experience with ALW Plumbing and Heating, giving the company a 5-star rating. He praised the professionally done work and reasonable pricing, recommending the company to others.
