The History of 'Kirkland

In 1919, Robert Kirkland set up his own business as 'R.Kirkland & Sons Plumbing & Sanitary Ware' from Bridge Street in Blyth, Northumberland. They worked for local businesses, shops, and homeowners, later renaming R. Kirkland & Sons. They gained an excellent reputation across the region which is still held dear today.

In the late 1940's, Robert's son Hughie Kirkland joined the firm and set about expanding the already thriving business, which remained at Bridge Street in Blyth. The company has continued to grow and evolve over the years, becoming the successful business it is today.

Management

Our family-run business is headed by Chris and Paul McGlen, working alongside Richard Cole. Chris McGlen serves as the Director, Paul McGlen as the Director, and Richard Cole as the Contracts Manager. Together, they ensure that the business continues to thrive and maintain its high standards of service.
